I bought Harry Potter ( ) in May from Coast to Coast, I think he'd (or she!) been fed on rations before I got him to keep him small so I'm now worried that he is always going to be a small snake. He was born on the 19/07/03 according to the pet shop, he's sheded 3 times since I had him and is now about 21ish inches, should he be bigger?? He is in a tiny little vivarium that Coast to Coast assured me was the right size for him and would last him until about Nov/Dec, it's about 12 inches x 8 inches. Would that be right? Seems very small to me, but being my first snake I don't know... He feed's very well, has 2 pinkies twice a week, I was thinking of starting him on fuzzies. Do you just pop one in inplace of the pinkies? Sorry for all the questions, I read books before getting Harry but you can't ask books questions! Coast to Coast always seems so busy. I've read on another thread about a shop a Billingham, this is quite local to me, anyone know were in Billingham? Thanks ;D Joy xx

Hi there I would try him on 3 pinkies every 4 days first for a few weeks, then change to 1 fuzzie, then 1 fuzzie and a pinkie etc. If you are worried you could take it back to coast to coast and they will check him over for you, they are quite patient with people new to reptiles, as we were 2 years ago, I think we were in there about every other week. Youre snake should be ok in a smaller enclosure for now, wait til its on fuzzies before you move it up to the next size. Snakes can go off there food if given too large an enclosure, if you do move it up a size then make sure it has hides to give it security. Billingham aquatics is just off the A19, where would you be coming from? I would love to see some photos, what sort is he?

Thanks for the advice, I think I will pop him back to Coast to Coast just so they can make sure he's in the right sized vivarium. Also hopefully they may be able to tell me if Harry is a Harriet! I'm in Hartlepool at the southern end so right next to Billingham. Not a very clear picture but heres Harry!!! (I hope!)

Hi Joy, Harry looks okay to me. If you want to call into Billingham Aquatics they are open 10 am to 5pm closed Wednesday open Sunday 11 to 3. Best to call in on weekdays as they can be quite busy on weekends. Come down Stockton street from Harlepool to the bottom Newcastle/Sedgefield roundabout take the second left and follow the road till you pass a large guarage on your left keep straight on at the roundabout along the dual caragway to the next roundabout and turn left up Billingham Bank. About 200 yards and on your right is an old picture house on the corner that is Mill lane and Billingham aquatics is a white fronted shop on the right about 150 yards on the left. Easy parking. Ask for Lauren or John.
I'm John by the way.

Ok, so I took him back to Coast to Coast a few days ago, spoke to a young lady who was very helpful. He isn't ready to go into a bigger viv at the mom, she told me basically exactly what zarozinia did (thanks ). She also probed him and said he is a male which the kids were pleased about. I bought him as a Carolina corn, he looks similar to a normal corn to me, are they the same thing?? I'm getting rather hooked now ;D and plan to get another, I like the look of the butter, caramel & amber ones. Would that be a good idea if I planned to breed them in the future or are there some Morph's which shouldn't be bred together? Also like the look of the lavanders and Brandon (oldes little boy who's 9 years) likes the candy canes. Oh and I rather like the motley patern ;D Anyone any idea where I could get a young or hatchling female of any of those coloures/patterns? Anyone got any hatchlings? Thanks again folks Joy xx
