Ive just got in 90 minutes ago to find our latest addition, an adult female bloodred has blood in its viv, it looks watered down and there isnt much, it has also passed 4 small poos today and smells putrid, not like the usual smell of snake poo. Ive only smelled this smell once before and it was with our jungle corn that died! Im really worried. It appears lively enough. We have only had her for 9 days and bought her from a private dealer along with a yearling bloodred, which is fine, there have been no signs of ill health with either of them up to now and all of our other snakes are fine.
Im phoning the vets at 9am tomorrow and asking for an urgent appointment for tomorrow.
Im gutted! It seems we have one problem after another. Im meticulous about cleaning and giving fresh water( I drive Shane up the wall about cleaning and bleaching everything insight afterwards), and all my snakes have the correct enviroments for each species.
The snakes vivs are kept cleaner than our own house!
