Weve finally got our boa to shed in one again. When we moved it from its temporary penpal, used whilst it was young, it started shedding in bits and retained its eyecaps for a day once. The plastic penpals must help keep humdity high. Since being in its 3 ft viv it has had problems. But after giving it an extra water bowl on the warmer side of its viv and adding a layer of coco fibre underneath the orchid bark, this seems to have done the trick. It burrows underneath the cocofibre at times and seems to enjoy it. My next step was going to be a fogger but I dont think we are going to need it now. Our only problem now is that one corner of the viv has absorbed moisture so now it will have to go back into its temp enclosure soon for a week or two whilst we get this viv fully water proofed and sealed. It is our only shop bought viv, our homemade ones are all fully waterproof. Typical! I will post photos of our BRB later today, he is looking so beautiful after shedding Angi

Beautiful Angi Have you got any tips on taking photos of snakes. I'm fine with lizards but I can never get our snakes to stay still and cooperate!
