has anyone else noticed how the "dalmation" morph of cresties develop red blotches first which go on to turn blacjk/brown? I was wondering if it is actually a skin or blood clotting disease and not actually a morph. but then maybe Im a bit nuts . What does everyone else think about it?

One of mines does it too, perhaps it is because it develops under the current layer of skin? They appear to get more spots after each shed. Maybe as they get closer to a shed the spots develop and appear to be red/brown/grey because they are covered by an extra layer of skin? I haven't really got a clue but thats what I would guess.

Hi I'm back! Comp should be ok now! I have cresteds that keep the red spotting as well as the black, but I've never noticed the spots changing from red to black

Angi, is this the kind of spot you mean? You can't see it is red very well but I have done my best:
