well, my great day on thursday was followed by a crap day!
I went for a haircut, wanting it shorter but NOT cropped, full explanations and fears explained to the hairdresser, photo also supplied for reference. Well she thingyed up! She cut one sides layers almost an inch shorter than the other! So tried to sort it out by cutting the other side shorter but made that side only an inch long in places, nothing like the other side! I was incredibly pissed off. told her to stop cutting my hair and get some one else. She insisted that she was " texturising" not cutting! and continued to cut! Eventually she listened but insisted it was looking shorter because she hadnt styled it yet, so she proceeded to give me a bouffant hairstyle, nothing like the picture I took in( the picture was of me last year so it was realistic to expect the same cut). In the end I had to physically take hild of some straighteners and do my own hair, it looked crap as i suspected. so along comes another two hairdressers to put me right, pretending to measure my hair( not even from the roots) and insisting it was the right length. The original hairdresser was by this time visibly shaking and left. aS soon as she left, the two hairdressers looked through my hair and discussed it as if I wasnt there, saying how it was uneven everywhere, the worst cut they had seen, at which point tears started streaming, I was gutted. I couldt bring myself to let them cut anymore and sort it out as I would be left with no hair, I told them that I was devastated and was too traumatised to let them " have a go". At this point they forced a document under my nose and TOLD me to sign it as I was leaving without getting my haircut finished. I signed it because I was so upset and just wanted to get out and go home! Of course they offered a free cut, but I dont know if I will EVER get my hair cut again, it was worse than the dentists.
So now Im using tonnes of hair products to make my hair look decent and its actually costing me more money! Im thinking of writing to the manager and asking for proper compensation, Im sure the document signed wouldnt hold up in a court of law as i was bullied into signing it whilst traumatised, therefore not acting my usual rational self. My friends reckon it looks ok and you can only tell when its pointed out, but i know!
