Hi,
I have a baby beardy and today I have been given another one of simerlar age (about 3 to 4 weeks old) the new one is a little bigger and when i introduced them in the viv, Boss my smaller one is doing allot of head bobbing and beard puffing, the slightly bigger one was waving her arms and is now head bobbing too. Is this just a natural thing to do? To find out who is going to be the dominant one? will they be ok? help please as these are my first lizards and am worried for them both.
thanks for the help.

that is normal, but are you sure that they are male and female? and, just a tip, if they are a male/female pair, then you might wanna seperate them when they reach sexual maturity, or you'll have eggs coming out the wazoo!!

hi G uroplatus probably knows more than me about this but the one that is doing the head bobing and beard puffing would probably be the male and the one that is waving its arms is probs the female. this is completely natural and they shoud be fine together. i didnt realise they did this when they were so young but i got my second one (cloud) when storm (my first one) was a year old so i kept them separate for a while. (or it might be that boss is defending his/her territory).
hope this helps

Thankx for all your help, they seem fine now, just hope they both ain't boys coz I will be having to make another viv before they get abit older. Another thing, if anybody knows waxworms when they start to chrysilise and go brown are they still good to feed my babies? how long before the hatch? and can I feed the moth or whatever they are to my beardies?
Thanks
G
