This is a new addition to my dad's snake collection. It's an Australian water python (liasis fuscus). She's really pretty - beautiful green back with a mango coloured underside. What do you think?

Thanks for the comments. She was given to us as she has a deformed vertebra in her neck. However, it doesn't stop her feeding or striking when you go near her box. Her neck appears to be straightening out as she grows. We've called her Emily after the person who gave her to us - hope she doesn't mind, lol.

She's doing great, thanks for asking. She double the size she was in that photo now (will take some pics of her tonight). She still has the deformity in her neck and still strikes when you go near her, but once she's out of her box she calms down.

It's not too bad. You can just make it out on the photo (about an inch right of her head - where the S shape starts). From what I gather the deformity occurred when she was in the egg - I think it was something to do with it being too humid (Lauren will remember when she's next online). She was the only one to survive in that clutch. For the moment she's the only water python my dad owns. They are a very beautiful species - the iridescence is getting bolder with every shed. ;D
