I was cleaning out my viper tank tonight and found two eggs. I'm very chuffed. I keep my trio on paper towel and there is a moist hide in the tank too. I have a plant pot saucer filled with sand in the tank - this was an experiment to see if the females would lay in it or the moist hide. Wahoo, it worked - she used the saucer. I was only keeping them on paper towel until they were fully settled and feeding well, but I think I'll keep the set-up as it is. Given the size of the eggs I feel it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack if the substarte in the tank was all sand.

They're in with my Rhac eggs so the temperature is around 80-84oF (depending on the temp in the loft). The information I have found says to incubate between 82-86oF so they should be ok. They require incubating on dry sand as vermiculite would stick to them when they hatch - the same as phantasticus babies. The eggs are like round tic-tacs and are hard shelled.

They must be tiny when they hatch!
